Jérémy Dupont, member of So’SPIE Ladies, an internal network that seeks to promote gender diversity within the Group, uses games as means to raise employee awareness about sexist behaviours within the company.
Jérémy Dupont, who has been Innovation Manager at SPIE Industrie since 2020, is charged with developing the Group’s energy transition and digital transformation activities. According to him, innovation must be more than just technological and environmental; it also needs to be societal. That is why he is committed to fostering gender diversity and inclusion within the Group.
During a So’SPIE Ladies meeting, SPIE France presented a card game called “C’est quoi donc?” (“So, what is it?”) to the network ambassadors to allow them to organise events around this game.
Jérémy, whose role regularly puts him in contact with many employees, has developed the habit of taking out a few cards during informal moments, such as during breaks around the coffee machine or while enjoying lunch outside the company’s premises.
“ It is easier for people to open up in informal settings. These moments present an opportunity to discuss the limits of certain behaviours and to raise awareness. The lighthearted and friendly nature of the game helps to get the message across and change behaviours.”

Having received positive feedback from participants, the So’SPIE Ladies ambassadors are now looking at ways in which they can reach more people with the game.

This 40-card deck was created by Accordia, a consulting firm specialising in diversity and equality.
Each card presents an everyday workplace scenario: offering to take a female colleague on a trip, complimenting what a female colleague is wearing, inviting a female colleague out for a coffee… So, what is it? Sexism or humour? Seduction or harassment? Gallantry or gender stereotyping? These situations spark debates. The cards offer explanations and aim to change mindsets.
ARE SHARING 10 DECKS OF CARDS WITHIN SPIE INDUSTRIE. THE SO’SPIE LADIES NETWORK HAS ROLLED OUT THE GAME ACROSS ALL SPIE FRANCE SUBSIDIARIES AND PLANS TO TRANSLATE THEM FOR OTHER SUBSIDIARIES.
